UEFA Europa League play-off first leg results

UEFA Europa League qualifying: the results of play-off matches on Tuesday.

The Scottish Heart’s sad mistake led to 0-1 loss to Liverpool. Andy Webster scored an own goal and gave the Reds a win.

Motherwell suffered a 0-2 home defeat to Levante, who finished sixth in La Liga last term. Juanlu Gómez and Nabil El Zhar provided the Spanish side with a comfortable win.

Greek Atromitos claimed a 1-1 draw with Newcastle. Denis Epstein led the hosts ahead but Ryan Taylor equalized the score.

Stuttgart’s Vedad Ibisevic provided his side with a comfortable 2-0 victory over Dinamo Moscow in the first leg of their Europa League play-off round tie.

CSKA Moskva earned a narrow 1-0 lead over AIK and Olympique de Marseille won their first-leg defeating FC Sheriff Tiraspol 2-1.

Anzhi Makhachkala left the Netherland’s AZ Alkmaar with 1-0 defeat. Feyenoord played 2-2 draw with Sparta Prague.

Neftchi Baku ended 1-1 draw with APOEL Nicosia and the same draw was scored by Legia Warsaw and Rosenborg Trondheim, Horsens and Sporting.

Portuguese Maritimo defeated Dila Gori 1-0 and Lokeren beat Viktoria Plzen 2-1. FC Vaslui fell behind after Inter’s two goals without scoring a goal. Norway’s Tromsø IL and Molde FK defeated FK Partizan 3-2 and Heerenveen 2-0 respectively.

Bursaspor earned a 3-1 victory over FC Twente and the Netherland’s side PSV Eindhoven beat Montenegro’s FK Zeta 5-0. Athletic Bilbao scored the most notable victory of Thursday’s night beating HJK Helsinki 6-0.

Red Star Belgrade and Trabzonspor ended a goalless draw playing with Bordeaux and Video Fehervar respectively. Paok Salonika earned a 2-1 lead over Rapid Vienna. Debrecen suffered 0-3 loss to Club Bruges as well as FC Midtjylland, who were defeated by Young Boys with the same score.

F91 Dudelange were beaten 1-3 by Hapoel Tel Aviv. Slask Wroclaw lost to Hanover 96, 3-5.

Lazio beat the hosting Mura 2-0 and Steaua Bucharest and Metalist Kharkiv defeated Ekranas Panevezys and Dinamo Bucharest with 2-0 score respectively.

Lucerne defeated Racing Genk 2-1 and Slovan Liberec finished 2-2 draw with Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk.
