Valencia interested to sign Chelsea Oriol Romeu on a season-long loan deal

Valencia are chasing Chelsea Oriol Romeu, as they are ready to offer the promising midfielder a share of first-team football to get his career on the right track.

The 21-year-old Spaniard himself is likely to relish a move, as he could get more playing time, after his career at Stamford Bridge was put on hold because of serious injury. He has made just 12 appearances in all competitions. It looks like the deal could favour both sides, and Romeu’s representatives have already discussed the deal with Valencia officials earlier this week, with the meeting ended with a positive outcome.

Romeu has even expressed the desire to take pay-cut to facilitate the move to Mestalla. The deal now largely depends on Jose Mourinho’s idea, of whether the player is featuring in his plans next season.
