Vilanova: Villa going nowhere

Barcelona boss Tito Vilanova has confirmed that David Villa will stay at the club despite the rumors linking him with a move Arsenal.

Barca have been repeatedly dismissing the suggestions that Villa is on the way of leaving the club due to the lack of first-team opportunities. The 31-year-old Spaniard has been struggling to regain his first-team place since returning from a serious injury that kept him on the sidelines for about a year. “David is not going to leave. We are very happy with him,” said Vilanova.

Villa has scored two goals in Barcelona 5-0 Copa del Rey win over Cordoba but then picked up an injury in the closing stages of the game. Villa has made 13 appearances this season scoring 5 goals.
