Villa to ask Barca’s hierarchy to let him join Arsenal

Barcelona out-of-favored forward David Villa is keen on a move to the Emirates and will ask Barca’s hierarchy to allow him to speak with Arsenal.

Barca have repeatedly rejected loan offers from several top clubs for the 31-year-old Span international insisting that they will only consider a permanent £16-million switch. Although Arsenal coach Arsène Wenger famously sticks to policy of buying young talents in cut-price deals and raising them into the superstars, he may be eager to spend certain part of his £70-million war chest on an established striker.

Villa has made just 12 appearances this season scoring 6 goals.
