WBA Gera out for the rest of the season

WBA Gera out for the rest of the season

The 33-year-old West Bromwich Albion midfielder Zoltan Gera suffered a setback of his knee injury that will keep him on the sidelines until the end of the season.

Gera limped off in the 21st minute of the League Cup clash between WBA and QPR with a ruptured anterior cruciate ligament. He is set to undergo the surgery the next week. Recovery from such an injury usually takes up to nine months. WBA coach Steve Clark revealed that he hopes the Hungarian player returns back into action as soon as possible.

Gera has made 16 appearances this season scoring 4 goals.
