WBA hierarchy frustrated at Odemwingie unprofessional behavior

Daily Mail informs WBA hierarchy was raving with fury with the actions of forward Peter Odemwingie who drove to London in an attempt to push through QPR move.

The 31-year-old Nigeria forward said goodbye to his teammates and drove to West London in the belief his move would be completed before the end of the transfer window. He was filmed at the Loftus Road saying he was about to open a “new chapter in his career” and revealing he was “optimistic” that “we” (QPR) finish above the relegation zone this season.

However West Bromwich Albion immediately struck back saying that no agreement has been reached between two clubs and the players left the club’s headquarters without permission. QPR officials did not let Odemwingie into the building as WBA have not given him the permission to speak to the Rangers’ representatives. Odemwingie was forced to drive off.

WBA chairman Jeremy Peace revealed ‘Peter has acted wholly unprofessionally. He must now accept the fact he remains under contract for a further 18 months.’

Queens Park Rangers saw two of their bids for QPR Odemwingie rejected. WBA wanted to loan Junior Hoilett as part of the £3 million deal, but the Canadian himself has rejected to join the Baggies. The Nigerian has repeatedly expressed his discontent at not being allowed to leave via Twitter.
