West Ham Diame is going nowhere

According to Daily Mirror West Ham defensive midfielder Mohamed Diame is happy to stay at the club despite the speculations linking him with the move away from the Boleyn Ground.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger became interested in making a switch for the 25-year-old Senegalese after a string of impressive performances produced by the player throughout the season. The news that there is a £3.5 million release-clause in Diame’s contract has fuelled the rumours about the likely departure of the player from West Ham even further.

However Diame has left no room for doubts as to his views on the future saying that he wants to stay at the club. “I know there are people out there saying things about me, but I have spoken with the manager and told him that I want to stay here […] Since I came here I am enjoying every game I play on the pitch. I think I made a good choice because I am very happy at this club.”

Diame has made 18 appearances for the club scoring 2 goals.
