West Ham, QPR and Liverpool to trigger West Brom Olsson’s release clause
Several Premier League clubs have been set on alert with the news West Brom’s defender Jonas Olsson has a £3.5 million buy-out option in his contract.
The 30-year-old Swede has recently signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at the Hawthorns until 2016. However the contract has a buy-out option allowing the player to open the negotiations with any club offering this sum. Host of Premier League clubs including West Ham, QPR and Liverpool are said to be ready to table a £3.5 million bid in summer in order to secure the services of the defender.
Olsson has moved to West Brom from Dutch side NEC Nijmegen in 2008, and has since established himself as a reliable Premier League defender. The player has been ever-present in Baggies’ first team this season, having made 42 appearances in all competitions.
