Wigan to bid for Dawson

Wigan to bid for Dawson

According to Daily Mirror Wigan manager Roberto Martinez is looking to sign West Bromwich Albion centre-back Craig Dawson in a bid to strengthen his defensive line with a talented player.

Currently Wigan are lying in the 19 spot having conceded 43 goals in 23 games. The latest string of poor performances occurred not least because of the injury crisis, as two key Latics defenders (Antolin Alcaraz and Ivan Ramis) are on the sidelines with long-term injuries.

That is why Martinez is determined to add 22-year-old Dawson to his squad. Currently Dawson is struggling to make his way into the first XI at the Hawthorns, having made just 2 first-team appearances this season.
