World Cup. Group B. Netherlands beat Chile to claim the top spot.

The Netherlands clinched the third victory in the group and avoided a potential Brazil clash (should the hosts beat Cameroon). Substitutes Leroy Fer and Memphis Depay scored on 77 and 90+2 minutes respectively. The Norwich City midfielder headed home just two minutes after appearing on the pitch, whiel Memphis Depay scored his second goal at the tournament from Arjen Robben’s assist.

Netherlands 2-0 Chile (Fer, 77, Depay, 92+).

Spain, who fielded a strongly renewed team against Australia, got a consolation 3-0 win courtesy of goals from David Villa, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata.
