Zenit St Petersburg signed Hulk and Alex Witsel for €80m

The 26-year-old left Porto and completed a five-year contract with Zenit.

Hulk, who earned 14 caps for Brazil and scored five goals, is Zenit’s major signing in this summer transfer window. He helped Porto to win three Primeira Liga titles and in 2011 Porto won Europa League. The Russian champions also signed Benfica midfielder Alex Witsel.

Funded by Gasprom, Zenit paid €40m for each player. With such power they hope to succeed in Champions League Group C, where they had been drawn with AC Milan, Anderlecht and Malaga.

Chelsea midfielder Raul Meireles signed a four-year deal with Fenerbahce. The 29-year-old played for Chelsea since 2011 and earlier he had been signed from Liverpool.

Paris Saint-Germain signed Van der Wiel from Ajax. The Netherlands international leaves the Dutch side after six years on a four-year contract with the Parisians. He made his debut for Ajax in 2007, and was capped 137 times.
