Abdoulaye Ba is a defender of Porto. He was born on 1 January 1991 in Saint-Louis, Senegal.
Ba started his youth career in Senegal, where he was trained at local football academies. In 2008 he came in view of Porto scouts who invited the young footballer to a try-out. In the same year he officially joined the Lisbon football academy where he spent two years before he was suggested to commit his future with Porto.
In the summer 2010 Abdoulaye Ba signed the first contract in his career with Porto where he hasn’t made any appearances yet. The football player was sent on loan to Covilhã for a season. During his spell with the temporary team he managed to earn a place in the starting line-up 24 times. Despite being a centre back, Ba became one of the few footballers who scored 9 goals as a defender.
In the summer 2012 he was again on loan, this time to Académica. During one season he played for his temporary team, where he featured in 21 games as a member of the starting eleven.
In the season 2013/2014 Abdoulaye played on loan for Vitoria Guimaraes. A spell with Rayo Vallecano followed.
Abdoulaye won his first senior cap for the Senegal national football team in 2012.
