A Spanish footballer Abraham González Casanova performs as a midfielder for AD Alcorcón. Abraham was born on 16 July 1985 in Barcelona.
Casanova spent his junior career at the youth academies of Ferran Martorell and Terrassa. In 2004, the young midfielder was promoted to the main squad of Terrassa. The debut season turned to be very successful for the player, as he got many chances to appear on the field and reveal his talent. The head coach counted on him as on a very promising footballer and gave him lots of playing time. In total, Abraham made 74 appearances and scored three goals for Terrassa during the spell.
In 2007, the scouts from Barcelona noticed the midfielder and decided to buy out his contract. After all the terms were agreed, the footballer joined the club’s B team. The two seasons for the reserve squad were lined with 67 appearances made and four goals racked up. In 2009, Casanova earned his only opportunity to perform for the main team of Barcelona.
In the summer 2009, a season-long contract was agreed with Cádiz. The 2009/2010 season was lined with two balls netted in 32 appearances. In 2010, a move to Gimnàstic happened. But Abraham didn’t manage to make a good start to life at team and in a year he was loaned to Ponferradina. The midfielder made 17 appearances for the temporary side and joined Alcorcón. His debut season was lined with 30 appearances made for the team.
On international level, Casanova was once capped for the Catalonia full-side in 2004.
