Adam le Fondre is a striker, born on 2 December 1986 in Offerton, England.
In 2004 Adam ended his training in the academy of Stockport County, when he was offered a place in the main team. The footballer penned a contract and became a senior player of the club, where he performed during two years and a half. The head coach tried to give the striker as much playing time as he could, because the young Englishman was talented and very promising. From the summer 2004 till January 2007, Adam made 63 appearances and netted 18 goals before going on loan to Rochdale, which observed the footballer’s progress and welcomed him for the second half of the 2006/2007 season.
When le Fondre’s loan spell was about to end, the management of temporary club decided to sign him on permanent deal, which eventually happened in the summer 2007. Adam featured in 96 games and amassed 34 goals during two years, which endeared him to the supporters. In 2009, being at the top of his irresistible form, the footballer completed a move to Rotherham United, where he had to take the place of the attack leader. From the autumn 2009 till the summer 2011, le Fondre featured in 96 matches and fired 54 goals for the new club.
In the summer 2011, English side Reading failed to miss an opportunity to secure the services of the talented footballer. Adam spent the 2011/2012 season on the field in the starting XI, made 32 appearances and found the net 12 times.
In 2014 Le Fondre moved to Cardiff City.
