Adel Taarabt is a midfielder of QPR. He was born on 24 May 1989 in Fes, Morocco.
In 2004 Adel moved to Europe and continued his career in French side Lens. Taarabt perfected his midfielder skills during two years and had special trainings in order to be able to operate in the position of a winger.
In 2006 the Moroccan footballer penned a senior contract with the club, but took part only in one game till the beginning of 2007, when he was sent on loan to English side Tottenham. Adel featured only in two games for the temporary team during six months. However, he managed to impress the management that did not want to lose the player and sealed a deal with him on permanent basis. Taarabt performed for Spurs from 2007 till 2009, but made only seven appearances during that spell.
In January 2009, Adel went on a six-month loan to other London side club, Queens Park Rangers, where he took part in seven games and fired one goal. The management wished to prolong the footballer’s contract and penned a one-year extension. Taarabt always came on the pitch in the starting eleven and kicked seven goals in 41 games for the temporary club.
In 2010 QPR weighed all pros and cons and decided to secure Adel’s services on permanent basis. In the summer the same year, the footballer put pen to paper of a permanent contract with the London side, where he became the pivot of the midfield and amassed more than 20 goals in over 100 matches. Upon the club’s relegation from the Premier League Taarabt was offered a loan spell with Fulham in the season 2013/2014 but did not manage to make an impact in the squad. At the beginning of 2014 Taarabt was loaned out to AC Milan.
From 2009, Taarabt has been capped for the Morocco national squad.
