Adil Ramzi is an attacking midfielder of Roda JC. He was born on 14 July 1977 in Marrakech, Morocco.
Adil’s professional career took off in local Kawkab Marrakech, where the footballer performed at the youth level as well. From 1995 till 1997, Ramzi made 30 appearances and amassed 13 goals for the club.
In 1997, the player transferred to Italian side Udinese, but spent his first season on the substitutes’ bench. In 1998, Adil completed a move to Dutch side Willem II on a two-year contract. The footballer took part in 52 fixtures and fired 18 goals for the club during his spell, which became his best achievement.
Ramzi’s stellar performance drew the attention of PSV Eindhoven, which secured the midfielder’s services on a four-year contract in the summer 2000. The player started to make occasional appearances, but often sat on the bench because of high competition for a place in the main team. Adil featured in 49 games and found the net six times for PSV during two years.
In 2002, the midfielder was sent on a season-long loan to Segunda División side Córdoba CF, where he made 20 appearances and netted two goals.
The following season, Ramzi sealed a loan deal with Dutch side Twente, where he became a regular and went on to net eight times in 32 fixtures during his temporary spell.
The player’s positive attacking display earned him an invitation from top-flight AZ, which offered Adil a two-year contract. The footballer took part in 32 matches and scored two goals during two seasons.
From 2006, Ramzi performed for Utrecht on loan, for Roda JC, Arabian side Al-Wakrah and Umm Salal Sport Club.
In the summer 2011, the midfielder finalized a move to Roda JC, where he made 45 appearances and chipped in three goals during two seasons.
In 2013 Ramzi left the club.
From 1998 till 2007, Adil was capped 34 times and contributed four goals for the Morocco national squad.
