Adrián Colunga Pérez was born in 1984 in Oviedo, Spain. He graduated from Sporting de Gijón’s youth ranks and then he joined the reserve team. Immediately he was loaned to Marino de Luanco UC and then to Ceares. Being released in 2006 he played for CD Soledad, UD Pájara Playas de Jandía and in 2007 Colunga signed for UD Las Palmas, playing in the second division. The following two seasons he played for Recreativo de Huelva making his debut in August 2008 and scored the winning goal in a 1-0 victory over Real Betis. His first season was successful but nevertheless the team faced relegation and in January 2010 he was loaned to Real Zaragoza. Colunga became the team’s top scorer of the season helping them to avoid relegation.
In August 2010, he moved to Getafe CF and in 2012 he was loaned to Sporting de Gijón, where he still plays as a striker.
