Adrian Mierzejewski is a professional footballer, a member of the Poland national team. He was born in 1986 in Olsztyn, Poland.
Adrian started his career at the youth academy of Tempo 25 Olsztyn, and then he moved to Naki Olsztyn. In 2003 Mierzejewski started his senior career with Stomil Olsztyn. In 2004 the footballer was offered to join Wisła Płock with which he won the Polish Cup in 2006. In the winter 2007 Adrian was farmed out to Zagłębie Sosnowiec, however after the end of the season the player returned to Wisła Płock. He didn’t stay long with this club and signed an agreement with Polonia Warsaw in 2009.
At the end of 2010 Mierzejewski won the “Ekstraklasa player of the year award”. In the summer 2011 he moved to Turkish club Trabzonspor for a fee of €5.25 million. Thus he exceeded the record for an Ekstraklasa player for almost a million. The previous record was established by Robert Lewandowski. Since 2010 Adrian Mierzejewski has netted 2 goals in 30 games for the Poland national team. He participated in the UEFA Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine.
