Adrian Nikçi is a Swiss footballer of Albanian descent born on 10 November 1989 in Peja, Kosovo.
Adrian started his career at FC Uster in 1998, playing there for four years. In 2002, he moved to FC Zürich youth section, with which he then won the Blue Stars/FIFA Youth Cup and consequently got a promotion to U-21 team. Nikçi netted 16 goals in 36 games with U-21 squad, thus making a good impression on his coach. It’s no wonder that a highly promising midfielder was promptly granted a place in the first team and was even allowed on the pitch from the start. During the first season in professional team he played 32 games scoring 4 goals. Overall, Adrian Nikçi scored 17 goals in 105 appearances for FC Zürich and succeeded in taking Swiss Super League trophy in the 2008/09 season.
In June 2012, Hannover 96 got interested in the Kosovan player and soon signed a three-year contract with him, which runs until 30 June 2015.
