Adrian Marius Stoian currently plays as a midfielder for Italian Genoa, and the Romania national U-21 football team. He was born on 11 February 1991 in Craiova, Romania.
The Romanian footballer began his career as an apprentice at Gheorghe Popescu's football school. In 2008 Stoian moved to Italy to compete for AS Roma youth team.
On 16 July 2010 the midfielder went to FC Pescara on loan. The Romanian made his Serie B debut on 13 October 2010, and on 19 March 2011 scored his first goal.
On coming back from loan, in August 2011 Stoian was loaned to AS Bari.
In the summer 2012 Adrian joined Chievo Verona. One season later he was loaned to Genoa.
Adrian was also invited to the Romania U-17 and U-19 teams. On 3 June 2011 Stoian represented the Romania U-21 football team.
