Afriyie Acquah is a Ghanaian footballer, born on 5 January 1992 in Sunyani, Ghana.
Afriyie started playing football with Glentoran Academy in 2005 where he played for three years before moving to Mine Stars in 2008. Showing enough craft and invention, Acquah was noticed by many clubs but continued his football grooming at Bechem United and then at DC United of Ghana.
In 2010, a young hopeful from Ghana decided to have a go in Europe and moved to Italy to join Serie A club Palermo. He made his senior debut for the Rosaneri subbing in Giulio Migliaccio in a 2-4 home defeat to Fiorentina on 13 February 2011. Overall, Acquah made 31 appearances with the Sicilian club in the 2011/12 season. In July 2012, Palermo sent him on loan to their bitterest Serie A rival Parma FC.
On finishing his loan spell the Ghanaian signed a new conrtact with Hoffenheim but was loaned back to his former club.
In the summer 2014 Acquah penned a permanent deal with Parma.
Afriyie Acquah earned his first international cap to the Ghana national team on 29 February 2012 in a clash against Chile.
