Ahmed Ammi is a Dutch back of Moroccan origin. He was born on 19 January 1981 in Temsaman, Morocco.
When a child, Ahmed moved to the Netherlands with his family and joined his first club SV Blerick in 1993. Ammi began to perform at the position of a defender and managed to show his best qualities, when the coach decided to ask him to play on the right flank.
The footballer stayed with the team during six years and left it for VVV-Venlo in 1999, when the club’s scouts noticed his talent and offered him a move.
Ahmed’s professional career took off on 2001, when he penned his first senior contract with VVV-Venlo. The back made 178 appearances and found the net three times for the club during six years, having become a regular.
Ammi made his following step up the career ladder in 2007, when he sealed a deal with NAC Breda. The head coach let the footballer come on the field in 24 games, and Ahmed repaid by firing two goals during one season.
One year later, in the summer 2008, Eredivisie side ADO Den Haag secured the back’s services and saw him make 93 appearances till his move to VVV-Venlo on loan in 2012.
In the summer 2013 Ammi was released from the club.
