Ahmed Elmohamady is a midfielder of Hull City. He was born on 9 September 1987 in Basyoun, Egypt.
In 2004, Ahmed graduated to the main squad of Ghazl El-Mahalla after one year in the academy of the club and penned his first professional two-year contract. The footballer started to make occasional appearances for the team and managed net three goals in seven fixtures during his spell.
In 2006, Elmohamady sealed a five-year deal with Egyptian side ENPPI and fired nine goals in 53 fixtures for the club during four years.
In the summer 2010, English side Sunderland decided to secure the midfielder’s services on temporary basis and saw him make 36 appearances during one season. The management decided to offer Ahmed a permanent contract and paid about £2 million to his parent ENPPI. In the 2011/2012 season, the footballer featured in 19 matches and found the net one time.
In the summer 2012, Elmohamady completed a move to Hull City and became an integral part of the squad. Once the loan was completed the Egyptian was invited to join the club on permanent basis.
From 2007, the midfielder has been capped 43 times and contributed two goals for the Egypt national squad.
