An Egyptian footballer Ahmed Hassan plays for Zamalek SC and the Egyptian full side. Ahmed’s been called up 184 times for the national team and became the most capped player. Hassan was born on 2 May 1975 in Maghagha.
Ahmed spent 5 years at the youth department of Aswan. In 1996, the footballer was promoted to the senior side of Aswan and his professional career began. In 1997, Ahmed moved to Turkey, where he remained until 2006. He performed for such clubs as Ismaily, Kocaelispor, Denizlispor, Gençlerbirliği and Beşiktaş. It was at Beşiktaş, where Ahmed managed to reveal his potential and produce solid performance. His club career at the Turkish club would span for 3 years, since he first joined them in 2003. In total, the player amassed 30 goals in 79 matches.
In 2006, Hassan moved to the Belgian First Division Anderlecht. Ahmed spent two years with the squad netting 20 goals in 56 games. In 2008, the footballer returned to Egypt, where he signed for Al-Ahly. In the summer 2011, Ahmed penned a contract with Zamalek SC.
