An Egyptian footballer Ahmed Magdy represents Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League. Ahmed’s a very versatile player. The footballer can operate as a center-back or as a defensive midfielder; the footballer is also able to play in the left-back position. Magdy was born on 24 May 1986 in Zagazig.
Ahmed’s junior career passed at the academy of Al-Ahly. His professional career started at the Greece club Panionios in 2005. The footballer stayed with the team until 2007, making 31 appearances. In 2007, Ahmed signed for Atromitos. He made 14 appearances for the squad and was scouted by the Egyptian side Zamalek. He signed the contract with the club for a fee of €450.000. Together with the squad, Ahmed won the 2008 Egypt Cup and reached the semi-final of the CAF Championship League two times (in 2007 and 2008). Despite such a success, in the summer 2010, Magdy joined Al-Masry, where he spent the following two years of his career. In 2012, the footballer was welcomed back to the former side El Zamalek.
