A Turkish footballer Ahmet Görkem Görk performs for Elazığspor as a center back. He was born on 20 June 1983 in Istanbul.
Ahmet’s the product of the youth system of the famous Turkish club Galatasaray. He entered its academy on 1999 and studied there for four years. In 2002, the club’s head coach considered the center back to be ready to start his professional career, so Görkem earned his first pro contract and joined the senior team. He spent two seasons with the squad, but got only single opportunity to appear on the field. That’s why, when he was offered to change the club for Beylerbeyi, he took the proposal without hesitations. In 2004, a deal was agreed and the footballer clinched into a new team. He produced a good performance during the 2004/2005 season making 30 appearances and scoring one goal.
In 2005, Ahmet was scouted by Sivasspor, where he remained until 2006. Unfortunately, at the club he got no playing time at all being sidelined from the game. In 2006, the player was happy to join Eyüpspor, where he featured in 17 matches over the course of the season. In 2007, a move to Çaykur Rizespor happened. In 2008, Görk was decided to be sent on a year-long loan to Boluspor. He appeared 17 times amassing six goals for the temporary team. After coming back to the native club, Ahmet clinched into the first eleven making 27 appearances and netting one goal.
In 2009, the footballer moved to Konyaspor, where he was deemed as an essential player. Ahmet produced a wonderful performance scoring two goals in 28 matches. The 2010/2011 season would find him performing for Adanaspor. The season was lined with one goal scored in 28 games. In 2011, a deal was finalized with Elazığspor.
In 2002, Ahmet made a single appearance for the Turkey U-20 team.
