A Turkish footballer Ahmet Şahin was born on 22 March 1978.
In 1996, Ahmet graduated from the academy of Karagümrükspor and signed the pro contract with the club. His debut for the senior squad happened on 1 September 1996 in a match against Maltepespor. The debut 1996/1997 season was lined with 18 appearances made and single goal scored. In 1997, the footballer opted to join Istanbul BB. Şahin spent four seasons with the club appearing 40 times. In 2001, a new contract was penned with Kocaelispor. Ahmet managed a good performance for the team featuring in 35 matches.
In 2003, a transfer to Diyarbakırspor happened. The club had many experienced players, that’s why Ahmet didn’t get much opportunity to reveal his potential. After he’d made four appearances, it was agreed to send him on a season-long loan to the former side Istanbul BB. The footballer moved and produced good performance appearing 32 times for the temporary squad.
In 2006, Şahin was hired by Trabzonspor, where he remained until 2008. The 2008/2009 season would find him playing for Adanaspor. Altogether, Ahmet made 33 appearances. Very soon he was noticed by the scouts from Samsunspor. In 2010, a contract was penned and the footballer spent a wonderful season with the club. Whilst playing for the team, he was twice honored with the title of the Yılın Futbolcusu. He was also named the team’s top scorer for netting 20 goals during the 2010/2011 season.
In 2012, Ahmet was scouted by Elazığspor and one year later moved to Balikesirspor. In 2014 Sahin moved to Mersin Idmanyurdu.
