Alan Patrick Lourenço is a winger for Shakhtar Donetsk. He was born on 13 February 1991 in Catanduva, Brazil.
Alan Patrick is a product of the famous Brazilian club Santos. As a child, Alan played both football and futsal. He debuted for Peixe on 13 September 2009 in a match against Santo André. He came on as the 63rd minute substitute. At the end of the season Alan Patrick was the best scorer of all Brazilian players under 20 years. As part of Santos the winger won the Campeonato Paulista in 2011.
In the same year, as part of Santos, Alan Patrick won Copa Libertadores 2011. In the summer of 2011 Dinamo Kyiv, Shakhtar Donetsk, Lille and Internacional expressed their willingness to buy the talented midfielder. On 24 June 2011 Alan Patrick signed for Shakhtar on a 5-year contract in a transfer deal worth 4 million Euros.
At first, things didn’t go well at the new club, as in the 2011/12 season Alan played only two official matches for the Miners. In one of them Patrick scored a goal against Shakhtar Sverdlovsk. However, Alan Patrick became the Champion of Ukraine and the winner of the Ukrainian Cup.
In 2008 the midfielder won seven caps and netted 2 goals for Brazil U-19. In the winter of 2011 Alan won U-20 South American Championship, but made only three appearances during the tournament. Later, he was included in Brazil’s World Youth Championship 2011 squad, but didn’t participate in the tournament.
