Alberto Tomás Botía Rabasco is a Spanish footballer, born in 1989 in Alquerías, Spain, and began playing at the age of eight. He spent his youth playing career with CD Beniel, Real Murcia and FC Barcelona, where he went on with reserves in 2009. In May 2009, Alberto made his first appearance for the first team substituting Gerard Piqué in the second half. That match against Deportivo de La Coruña ended in a 1-1 draw.
For the 2009/10 season Botía was loaned to Sporting de Gijón. He proved himself as a starter and a key player during that season and completed a permanent move there. In 2012, the footballer switched to Sevilla FC and featured in 18 matches of the club. One season later he joined Elche on loan. In 2014 Botia completed a move to Olympiacos.
Alberto Botía was called up for the national team and they won the 2011 UEFA European U21 Football Championship.
