Alejandro Alfaro Ligero is a Spanish right midfielder playing for RCD Mallorca.
He started playing football at the Sevilla FC youth academy where Alfaro was viewed as the key and the most prospective player. The winger began to play for reserves since 2005. His talent was highly appreciated there as he helped to reach second-division promotion in the season 2006/07. On April 30, 2006 he appeared in a victory match against Real Sociedad being a substitute for the closing 10 minutes.
He scored his first La Liga goal on January 28, 2007 in a won game against Levante. He also appeared four times in the UEFA Cup as his side won the trophy.
By the end of the 2009 pre-season Alfaro was sent on a 2-year loan to Tenerife where he remained a key attacking unit being the best goal scorer.
Alejandro returned to Sevilla in the season 2010/11. The side’s undisputed starter Jesús Navas fell out for an injury leaving a chance for Alfaro to sparkle. Playing against Málaga he showed his best qualities scoring twice thus earning a victory for the team on September 19, 2010. On November 4, he scored in a Europa League game against FC Karpaty Lviv (4-0 home win) and in a La Liga meeting with Valencia (2-0). In total Alejandro played 33 games for Sevilla and scored thrice.
On August 8, 2011 the winger signed for RCD Mallorca. After one season at the Balearic Isles he appeared in 29 games with 3 goals.
