Alejandro Alonso is a retired Argentine midfielder. He was born on March 3, 2012 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Alejandro started to play professionally when he signed his first in life professional contract with a club named Huracán in 2001. The squad resided in Argentine’s second division and Alejandro wasn’t a main squad player there. Having spent four years in that club Alonso played 34 games scoring 5 times.
However Alejandro managed to draw attention from across the ocean as the French side Bordeaux offered him a long-term contract. The footballer completed his move the France in 2008 and there he revealed his potential becoming one of the leaders of the squad for which he made 83 appearances with 4 goals.
The year 2008 marked another move of the Argentine player. He signed for Monaco, another French Ligue 1 club, where the midfielder played till 2011. The coach being unfavourable to the player, Alejandro appeared in the starting eleven only occasionally and gained only 44 appearances with 5 goals for three years in Monaco’s main squad.
In 2011 Alejandro Alonso got a chance to move to Saint-Étienne. He accepted the offer and featured in 14 matches of the club. At the beginning of 2013, Alonso retired from professional football.
