Aleksandr Kobakhidze is a professional football striker currently playing for Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. He was born on February 11, 1987 in Tbilisi, Georgian SSR, Soviet Union.
Having finished the youth career at Dinamo Tbilisi FC, Aleksandr Kobakhidze joined the senior squad of Spartaki Tbilisi FC as a professional footballer and stayed there for the 2004/05 season. In 2006, the player moved to Dinamo Tbilisi FC, where he was able to gain more play experience and develop his football skills. From 2006 till 2007 Aleksandr Kobakhidze participated in 43 games and scored 7 goals for the club.
In 2007, Aleksandr Kobakhidze signed a 4-year contract with a Ukrainian club Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk FC. Unfortunately, the forward failed to become a regular player and was loaned to Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih FC in 2009. In 2011, he went on loan again, this time to Arsenal Kyiv FC.
Aleksandr Kobakhidze played for the Georgia National U21 Football Team and since 2006 has been called up for the Georgia national football team.
