Aleksandr Orekhov is a center defender for Rubin Kazan. He was born on 29 November, 1983 in Kropotkin, Russia.

Orekhov is a graduate of FC Tsentr-R-Kavkaz Krasnodar football academy. In the 2001/02 season he played for FC Krasnodar-2000 Krasnodar, making a total of 45 appearances and scoring 8 goals for the club. Then the player moved to FC Arsenal Kyiv, where he featured in 12 starts in the 2003/04 season. Then Aleksandr joined FC Kuban Krasnodar on a 3-year contract and made a total of 82 appearances and scored 3 goals for the club. Since 2008 Orekhov plays for Rubin Kazan.
