Aleksandr Sheshukov was born on 15 April 1983 in Omsk, Russia. He plays as a defensive midfielder and a defender for Lokomotiv Moscow.
Sheshukov started to play football in Omsk Children's and Youth Sports School. Since the age of 17, Aleksandr performed at the professional level. In 2000, he played for FC Spartak Tambov, and a year later the footballer moved on loan to FC Spartak-Orekhovo. For Orekhovo Alexandr put it in the back of the net 2 times in 22 games.
On 1 January 2002, the player moved to FC Spartak Moscow, and on 22 January, Sheshukov appeared in the CIS Cup game for the first time. In February 2004, the footballer moved on loan to FC Sokol-Saratov.
From 2005 to 2008, Sheshukov performed for FC Luch-Energiya Vladivostok, and from 2008 to 2009 - for FC Moscow. In 2010, Aleksandr returned to FC Moscow Spartak. In spite of unsuccessful start, the footballer was able to gain a foothold in the first team. In May, he sustained a meniscus injury. In the autumn 2011, Sheshukov thought about leaving FC Spartak as the coaching staff did not consider him as a key player. In June 2012, Aleksandr signed a three-year contract with FC Rostov but moved to Lokomotiv Moscow in February 2014.
In 2000, the footballer played for the Russian U-16 team. In the youth team Aleksandr was a captain and in May 2011 he was called up to the senior team.
