Alessandro Sgrigna is an Italian striker for Hellas Verona. He wears the number 13 shirt.
Born in Rome, Italy, Alessandro showed his promise at regional level in his boyhood club Lodigiani. In 1999 he joined Inter Milan`s youth system but didn`t manage to impress and returned to Lodigiani on loan, where he managed 8 goals in 31 matches. In 1999 Vicenza snapped up the promising goalscorer. However, Sgrigna struggled for goals and so was sent on loan to Pistoiese and then to Reggiana. Actually, the target man had another two spells at Vicenza in 2005 and 2008.
In 2003 the powerful striker moved to Cittadella, where his career really flew up. He was on target 25 times in 65 league games. In 2005 the Italian forward had a trial at Bari and impressed the then-manager enough to earn a season-long deal. The 2007/2008 campaign saw him wear the jersey of Triestina. There came another spell with Vicenza which paved the way for Alessandro`s move to Torino in August 2010. In 2013 Alessandro joined Hellas Verona but was loaned to Carpi for the season 2013/2014.
Alessandro Sgrigna made his mark at international level as he was included into the Italian U-16 squad in 1995. Three years later the striker got an only call-up for the U-17 side. The year of 1999 witnessed him drafted into the final squad for Euro U-18.
