Alex Marrow is a midfielder, born on 21 January 1990 in Tyldesley, England.
In 2008, Alex put pen to paper of a professional contract with Blackburn Rovers, but his career at Ewood Park left much to be desired, because the footballer had to watch games from the substitutes’ bench. In 2009, Marrow went on a season-long loan to Oldham Athletic in order to keep fit and netted one goal in 32 fixtures for the club during his spell, which helped him to gain the initial experience and become more confident.
In 2010, the midfielder sealed a temporary deal with Crystal Palace and featured in 17 games for ‘The Glaziers’ during six months. The management of the team liked Alex’s display and offered him a long-term contract after the end of his spell. The footballer accepted the offer and officially became a part of the new club, but he did not get as much playing practice as he used to during his loan performance. That is why, in January 2012, he completed a loan move to Preston North End and took part in four matches for the team till the end of the 2011/2012 season. In the summer 2012, Marrow signed for Fleetwood Town on temporary basis and made 20 appearances for ‘The Cod Army’ during six months. After returning to his parent Crystal Palace, the midfielder took his tally to 10 games and was sold to his former club Blackburn Rovers.
After another loan spell with Fleetwood Town, Marrow penned a contract with Carlisle United in the summer 2014.
