Alexandros Tzorvas is a Greek footballer born on 12 August 1982 in Athens, Greece. He plays as a goalkeeper for Italian side Genoa.
Alexandros was formed in the youth ranks of the Greek Superleague club Panathinaikos. In 2001, he was promoted to the professional team but due to severe competition Tzorvas was mostly kept off the first team squad. After ending the 2001/02 season with a sole game, he was sent on a long-time loan, roaming from one Greek club to another. Thus, a young footballer played 25 games for Agios Nikolaos, made 11 appearances for Markopoulo and stood in the goal for Thrasyvoulos from 2001 toll 2005.
In 2007, Tzorvas enjoyed a meteoric rise after signing for OFI Crete. Thanks to his constantly strong performances, he soon cemented his place in the starting XI, amassing all in all 24 games for the club. With OFI Crete, Tzorvas became the Second Greek Best Goalkeeper after legendary Antonis Nikopolidis in 2008.
Having developed his game impressively, Alexandros moved back to his feeder club Panathinaikos in 2008 where he became an undisputed first-choice goalkeeper. Overall, he featured for 59 games during his three-year stint at the club.
Greek goalkeeper spent the 2011/12 campaign in a Palermo jersey. He made his Serie A debut for the Rosaneri in a 4-3 win over Inter on 11 September 2011. Shortly after that he fell out of favour with Palermo supremo and in 2012 made a move to Genoa where he plays up today.
Alexandros Tzorvas is capped to the Greece national team since 2008.
