Alexandru Epureanu is a Moldovan central defender, born on 27 September 1986 in Kishinev, Soviet Union.
Alexandru began his senior career at Zimbru Chişinău in 2002. From 2002 to 2004 he featured in 29 matches and netted 2 goals. In 2004 he signed for Sheriff Tiraspol. During his 2004-2006 spell at Sheriff the footballer made 66 appearances and scored 2 goals.
In 2007 Epureanu completed a move to the Russian club Moscow, where he played until 2009, participating in 72 games. In 2010 the defender joined Dynamo Moscow, signing a 4-year contract with the club. In the summer of 2012 he moved to Krylia Sovetov on a half-a-year loan. In the season 2013/2014 Epureanu played for Anzhi Makhachkala on loan and later signed a permanent deal with the club.
Since 2006 Epureanu has been called up to the Moldova national squad.
