Ali Gadzhibekov is Russian center back for Anzhi Makhachkala. Gadzhibekov is a representative of Dagestani football traditions. Since 2005 Ali played for amateur club FC Anzhi-Khazar Makhachkala, but the club soon dissolved. Ali joined Anzhi in 2006 and thus began his career in the First Division. Ali debuted in July 2006, coming on as a substitute for Eric Kamdem in a match against Dynamo Makhachkala. In the following season Ali played 12 matches. In 2009 Anzhi earned right to play in Russian Premier League, but made only one appearance against FC Chernomorets Novorossiysk, coming on as substitute for Evgeny Shcherbakov. Ali debuted in the Premier League on 4 July, 2010, in an away match against Zenit Saint Petersburg.
Gadzhibekov featured for Russia-2 in a match against Russian youth team. In August 2011 Ali was called up to the national team to conduct full training, but then again returned to Russia-2 team.
Ali Gadzhibekov’s older brother Albert Gadzhibekov is also a defender for Dagdizel Kaspiysk.
