Allan McGregor came into the world on January 31, 1982 in Edinburgh, the Scottish capital.
In 1998 the player showed his promising goalkeeping ability and joined the Rangers youth sport system. During 2004/2005 and 2005/2006 seasons he enjoyed loan spells at St. Johnstone and Dunfermline Athletic.
He made his debut with the Scotland national team in 2002, when he was called up to join U21 squad.
The holder of numerous honorary awards and titles, the 4-times champion of Scotland, the 3-times winner of the Scottish Cup and the numerous-times winner of the Scottish League Cup with Rangers FC. In the 2007/2008 season he reached the final of the UEFA Cup, being a part of the Glasgow club’s squad. Achieved silver medals with his national team during the Nations Cup in 2011.
Joined Beşiktaş in 2012. After a season with the Turkish club McGregor joined Hull City, recently promoted to the Premier League.
