Amadou Jawo is a striker of Gambian descent who currently represents Djurgårdens IF. He was born on 29 September 1984 in Banjul, Gambia.
Amadou commenced his youth career at the Swedish club IK Frej. In 2004 Jawo signed a professional agreement with Vallentuna and became a part of the senior squad. During his 2004-2008 stay at Vallentuna the striker scored 9 goals in 56 matches.

In 2009 Amadou was transferred to Elfsborg for a fee of €1 million. Since 2009 he has featured in more than 70 matches for the Swedish club.
