Amauri Carvalho de Oliveira is a Brazilian striker who currently plays for Italian side Parma.
Having grabbed ins and outs of football playing at Brazilian Santa Catarina Clube, Amauri had a short spell at the Swiss club Bellinzona in 2000. Between 2000 and 2003, he was the part of Italian Parma but roamed from one loan to another. Thus, for three years he featured for such Italian clubs as Napoli, Piacenza, Empoli and Messina. In 2003, Amauri joined Chievo where he managed to bring out his full potential. Overall, he made 90 appearances and scored 17 goals for the club.
In 2006, the Brazilian striker was signed by Palermo to make up for Fiorentina-bound Luca Toni. Amauri soon became a pillar of the Rosanero team, netting 8 goals in 18 league games up to December 2006.
In the spring 2008, Amauri joined the Italian heavyweight Juventus. He raised eyebrows at Juve scoring five goals in a 7-1 pre-season victory over Mezzocorona. He then made terrific performances against Borussia Dortmund, Milan, Internazionale and Manchester United in Juve’s jersey.
In 2012, Amauri signed a two-year contract with Parma.
Amauri earned his first international cap for the Italy national team in August 2010 in a friendly against Côte d’Ivoire.
