Amidu Salifu is a midfielder for Fiorentina. He was born on 20 September, 1992 in Accra, Ghana.
Amidu began his youth career at Italian side Vicenza. For many years he developed his skills and studied football tactics at the club.
In 2010 he graduated from the academy and penned a deal with Vicenza. In the 2010/11 season he played 8 for the club.
In 2011 the footballer became interesting to various Italian clubs, in particular to Fiorentina. The club made a request for purchase of the midfielder and received a positive response. The talks didn’t take long and by the summer of 2011 an agreement was reached. At the end of the 2010/11 season, Fiorentina signed Ghanaian midfielder on a long-term contract. The head coach gave Amidu enough playing time to obtain necessary practice and keep himself in optimal playing form.
In 2012 Amidu Salifu was loaned to Calcio Catania. A loan move to Modena followed in 2013.
