An Egyptian footballer Amir Abdelhamid plays as a goalkeeper for Smouha SC. Amir was born on 24 April 1979 in Qanatir el Qahiriya.
Abdelhamid came from the youth ranks of Al-Ahly. In 1999, the goalkeeper debuted for the club’s senior side. In 2008, he became the squad’s first keeper. The footballer proved to be an anchor player and because of such a successful performance he was invited to play for the national team of Egypt in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He was the squad’s third keeper and made two appearances during the 2008/2009 season.
In 2010, the goalkeeper was scouted by Al-Masry. Amir stayed at the club until 2012 making 26 appearances. In 2012, a contract was penned with Smouha.
