Andrea Consigli plays in the goalkeeper role for Atalanta BC. He was born on 27 January 1987 in Cormano, Italy.
The player’s senior career began in 2006 when he signed his first professional contract with Atalanta BC. However, in 2006 a young player was given out on loan to SS Sambenedettese Calcio to gain more practice. During the 2006/07 season Andrea was a first-choice goalkeeper and featured in 32 matches. At the end of the loan spell at Sambenedettese the player was loaned once again. This time to Rimini Calcio FC. Throughout the 2007/08 season an Italian goalkeeper participated in all 35 club matches.
When the loan spell at Rimini was over, Consigli moved back to his native club where he was given good opportunity to fight for the place of a first goalkeeper. During the 2008/09 season he periodically appeared in the starting lineup and gained the manager’s confidence. One year later Andrea became an integral member of Atalanta major squad which he currently represents.
From 2006 till 2009 Consigli starred for Italy U-21 team in 21 matches. In 2008 the goalkeeper participated at the Summer Olympics appearing in 3 matches.
