Andrea Cossu is a winger for Cagliari. He was born on 3 May, 1980 in Cagliari, Italy.
Andrea’s professional career started in 1996 aa he signed for Olbia, where he played during the 1996/97 season, making 5 appearances. In 1997 he joined Verona, where he performed for two seasons. In 1999 he was for the first time loaned to Lumezzane and a year the club management expressed willingness to extend the loan spell for another year. Cossu played for Lumezzane till 2012, totaling 41 matches and 6 goals.
In 2002 Andrea Cossu was again sent on loan. Cossu’s new club was Sassari Towers, where the young player featured in 12 matches and scored 1 goal in the 2002/03 season. After returning from loan Andrea started to make his way to the senior squad of Verona.
In 2005 Cossu sealed a deal with Cagliari and in his first season for the club played in 22 matches. At the end of 2006 Cossu retuned to Verona, foolowing promises of the coach to grant him a regular place in the first team. Despite making a lot of appearance in 2007 and 2008, later the midfielder lost a place in the team.
In 2008 Andrea returned to his current club Cagliari. Since 2008 Cossu is a regular at Cagliari Since 2008 Cossu played in 118 matches and scored 9 goals for Cagliari.
In 2010 Andrea Cossu earned 2 caps for Italy.
