A Scottish footballer Andrew Murray Shinnie was born on 17 July 1989 in Aberdeen.
Andrew signed his first pro contract in 2006 with Rangers. His debut for the team happened on 17 March 2007. On 26 April 2007, the player featured in the Scottish Youth Cup Final. That match turned to be the victory for his squad. After the match, Andrew’s contract was extended until 2010.
During the spell the midfielder was twice sent on loan. At first he served loan to Dundee in 2008 and in 2010 he was again sent on loan to the club. After Shinnie returned to Rangers he didn’t clinch into the first XI and his appearances became very rare.
In the summer 2011, a two-year contract was penned with Inverness Caledonian Thistle. His debut goal for the team was scored on 27 August 2011 in a match with Kilmarnock. In November 2011, the midfielder scored a hat-trick in a game against Kilmarnock. After two years with the club Shinnie was offered a contract with an English side Birmingham City.
In 2012, Andrew was called for the Scotland national squad for the first time. Before that had happened, he represented the Scotland youth national team at U-19 and U-21 levels.
