Andrew Surman is a midfielder of Norwich City. He was born on 20 August 1986 in Johannesburg, South Africa.
In 1996 Andrew joined the academy of Southampton, which is located in the town of the same name. The footballer started and ended his youth career there, becoming one of the best trainees of the club, which helped him to get an invitation to the main team.
In 2004 Surman accepted the invitation and penned his first senior contract with Southampton. A place in the starting line-up was given to the footballer a bit later, after he was sent on loan to Walsall and Bournemouth, where Andrew made 38 appearances and netted eight goals. After his loan spell ended, the midfielder became a regular of his parent club and amassed 15 goals in 133 matches during three years.
In 2009 Surman drew the attention of Wolverhampton, which was about to gain the promotion to the Premier League. He penned a contract with the club and took part in seven matches for it during one season. In 2010 the footballer ended his Wolverhampton spell with Norwich City move and found the net seven times in about 50 games.
In the summer 2013 Surman joined a Championship outfit Bournemouth in a loan deal.
From 2007 till 2008, Andrew was capped four times and netted one goal for the England national U-21 team.
