Andrew Taylor is a back, born on 1 August 1986 in Hartlepool, England.
Andrew’s professional career had taken off in Middlesbrough after the footballer graduated from the academy of the club. He penned his first professional contract in 2004 and joined the main squad, which helped the head coach to get a closer look at Taylor’s progress. In 2005, the back went on a season-long loan to Bradford City, where he made 24 appearances during his spell. In 2010, Andrew sealed a half-a-year temporary deal with Watford and netted one goal in 19 matches for the team.
After returning to his parent ‘Boro’, the footballer took his tally to three goals in 125 fixtures by 2011 and put pen to paper of a contract with Welsh side Cardiff City, where he gained the head coach’s confidence at once and clinched a place in the starting line-up. He featured in 111 games and fired one goal for ‘The Bluebirds’ before completing a move to Wigan Athletic in the summer 2014.
From 2002 till 2009, Taylor was capped 37 times for the England national U-16, U-17, U-18, U-19, U-20 and U-21 squads.
