Andy Dawson is a defender of Scunthorpe United. He was born on 20 October 1978 in Northallerton, England.
Andy is a product of Nottingham Forest academy, where he trained in the academy till 1996. The same year, the footballer penned his first senior contract, but failed to become a regular and was sent on loan to Scunthorpe United in 1998. In 1999, the management of the temporary team secured Dawson’s services on a four-year deal and saw him score eight goals in 186 fixtures during his spell.
In 2003, the defender completed a move to Hull City and played a stunning 293 matches for ‘The Tigers’ during ten years at the club.
At the time when Hull City got promoted to the Premier League a 34-year old Dawson had to look for another club and accepted the offer to join Scunthorpe United.
